Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the AAI apprenticeship must have completed a full-time regular degree or diploma in the relevant stream from a recognized university or institute.
For graduate apprentices, a four-year engineering degree or a regular three-year degree in fields like Mechanical, Electronics, Aeronautical, Commerce, or Computer Science is required. For diploma apprentices, a three-year diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation, EEE, or Material Management is required. Only candidates who completed their degree or diploma in 2021 or later are eligible to apply.
Age Limit
To apply for the AAI apprenticeship, candidates must be Indian citizens and should not be older than 27 years as of 24th November 2025.

AAI Apprentice Stipend 2025
All selected apprentices at AAI will receive a monthly stipend during their 1-year training. The stipend is provided to support them while gaining practical experience at Safdarjung Airport. The amount varies depending on whether the apprentice is a graduate or a diploma holder.
Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000 per month
- ₹10,500 from AAI
- ₹4,500 from the Government (through DBT)
Diploma Apprentices: ₹12,000 per month
- ₹8,000 from AAI
- ₹4,000 from the Government (through DBT)
How to Apply for the AAI Recruitment 2025
Interested candidates must apply online through the NATS portal (www.nats.education.gov.in) using NATS Portal ID: NDLNDC000087. Candidates should first register on the portal with their personal, educational, and contact details. They also need to upload required documents like degree/diploma certificate, marksheet, Aadhar card, bank details, and passport size photo in PDF or JPEG format (less than 1 MB).
Selection Process
The selection of apprentices at AAI is merit-based. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and interaction. Candidates must also submit a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of joining. The final decision will be made by AAI management, and selected candidates will be posted at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi, or its related units.
