You don’t need to visit any government office anymore to link your mobile number with your land record (Khatian). The Government of West Bengal has added a new online option to the BanglarBhumi Portal, which allows citizens to link or update their mobile numbers with their land records from home within a few minutes.
Why You Should Link Your Mobile Number
After linking your number, you will easily receive all land-related updates, notifications, or any changes directly on your phone. This step has made the land services faster, simpler, and more transparent for everyone.
Step-by-Step Process to Link Mobile Number with Land Record
Follow these easy steps to complete the process online:
Step 1: First, go to the BanglarBhumi Portal website.
Step 2: If you have not registered before, click on “Sign Up” and complete the registration by entering the required details. If you already have an account, click on “Sign In” to log in.
Step 3: After logging in, go to Citizen Services → Online Application from the top menu.
Step 4: Click on the option “Mobile Number Update Against Khatian.”
Step 5: On the new page, select your District, Block, and Mouza, then enter your Khatian Number and click on “View.”
Step 6: If your mobile number is already linked, it will be shown under “Mobile No as a Record.”
If it is not linked, the space will be blank.
Step 7: Type your new mobile number in the “Enter Your Update Mobile Number” box and click beside it. You will receive an OTP on your mobile.
Step 8: Enter the OTP in the “Enter OTP” box and verify it.
Step 9: Upload a scanned copy of your government ID proof and a PDF file (maximum 2MB) that includes the signature of the Khatian owner.
Step 10: After filling in all details correctly, click Submit to complete the application. You will immediately get an Application Number for future reference.
OTP Verification and Final Submission
- If your mobile number is not already linked, type your new number in the box “Enter Your Update Mobile Number.”
- An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to that number. Enter the OTP correctly to verify it.
- Then upload a scanned copy of a government-approved ID proof (like Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, or PAN Card) with the landowner’s signature.
- Make sure the file size is within 2 MB.
- Finally, click “Submit.”
After submission, you will get an Application Number immediately, which can be used to track the status of your request.
