The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process is an important part of updating voter details in India. The SIR online application allows voters to submit their enumeration form (EF) from home without visiting any BLO or Office. According to the guidelines shared by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the process has become fully digital and very simple for every eligible voter.
In this article, you will learn why the SIR online application is important and how you can submit the SIR online form step by step.
Why SIR Online Application Is Important
The SIR online application is important because it allows voters to update their enumeration form quickly and correctly without visiting any office. It also ensures that your mobile number is linked to your EPIC and your name exactly matches your Aadhaar, which helps prevent errors in the voter list.
The system helps you search your details in the Last SIR Roll and correctly map your name or your parents’ names, making the Electoral Roll more accurate. With online Aadhaar e-sign and automatic verification, the entire process becomes faster, safer, and more convenient for every voter.
